SETTLED DOWN IN UTAH

We've been living in UTAH now for almost a year. I can't believe it's already been that long. The best things about living here:

1. Close to family 
2. All four seasons 
3. Multiple seasonal activities
4. 
   
5. 
   

Well, I can't think of a ton of things off the top of my head but for some reason we are loving it. 

We are loving it, we are comfortable. It seems to be a great move for the family. Did it take some adjusting? Heck yeah. It was really hard to move from Texas back to "Zion". I love the church but I loved being a minority in Texas. Turns out, though I've always thought of Utah as a different "breed" of people, it seems that we are all different breeds. Thats what makes life so great! Not one of us is the same. 

The kids have adjusted to school and new friends, and the neighborhood, and all their extra curricular sports. And they have been amazingly HARD CORE here. We've done baseball which took up 5 nights a week for the spring season. Madelyn and Marcus were in a season of volleyball before that. Now we are into tackle football, flag football and another season of volleyball for Madelyn. I'm not gonna lie... I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Turns out it doesn't really matter where you live as long as you have your kids. Living close to family(parents, siblings, etc) is a fantastic bonus. Meeting new friends is another bonus.  Finding a comfortable job that is enjoyable to go to and also helps make ends meet is another bonus. Actually, we've had quite a few "bonuses" come our way since moving here. Some of which we'll talk about coming up.....

Bottom line.... Utah is home!!!

STARTING FRESH

For a few years I recorded my family happenings on my family blog www.bushmanmoments.blogspot.com. I loved that blog; loved telling our story; loved sharing our happy, sad, fun, not so fun moments with friends and family and sometimes strangers.

Then life shifted a bit for us. Some not so fun Bushman moments were not so fun to share. And before I knew it nothing was being shared.

Now its nearing the end of 2014 and I'm ready to share....
